Production of the KG-System (PVC)® innovated pipes and fittings is based on a unique technology, co-extrusion.
The KG-System (PVC)® is based on unplasticised polyvinylchloride (PVC-U). The result is sewage pipes and fittings with perfectly smooth inner wall surface that is resistant to abrasion, a tough outer layer, which is resistant to all typical materials used for pipe gritting, and a flexible core that resists ground and wheel pressure.
Joint tightness is the result of application of latched sealing elements that are made from resistant rubber and located in the groove inside the pipe neck. The tightness properties remain even after deformation or misalignment of the pipes.
The KG-System (PVC)® pipes and fittings are manufactured to meet the specifications of current European standards EN 1401-1 and prEN 13 476, which prescribe higher wall thickness than the formerly applied DIN 19534.
The KG-System (PVC)® represents a full-scale system with a wide selection of components - pipes of ring stiffness SN 4 and SN 8, which allow additional insertion of new components; the system may also be connected to other installations (e.g., inspection wells).
The lightweight components of the system allow for easy handling even in the case of 5 metre pipes. Joining the pipes is very easy, thanks to the pipe neck with the sealing element. Also the number of joints alone is lower than before when older components from heavy materials were used.
