The KG 2000 Polypropylene® sewage pipes and fittings are made from polypropylene (PP). Their special properties include a smooth, homogenous wall with high ring stiffness, which makes them the perfect choice for underground installations with higher peak pressures, such as highway roads, extreme depths or areas with a high level of groundwater.
Due to the strengthened, homogenous wall of the 2000 Polypropylene® pipes and fittings, the value of their ring stiffness amounts to SN 10 or SN 16. Therefore, the system is applicable for establishing construction sites in urban areas or city centres.
The KG 2000 Polypropylene® sewage piping is: water tight - at positive or negative pressure of 0.05 MPa , gas tight - at positive or negative pressure of 0.05 MPa.
Joint tightness of the system at both positive and negative pressure is provided by the multi-blade tightening element, which is fitted with a stretcher blade as a barrier against the intrusion of dirt between the seal and pipe wall, a spacer blade to fix the position of the inserted pipe, a cleaning blade to remove the residue from the inserted pipe end, and the primary blade to deliver the long-term tightness of the joint.
