Ostendorf – OSMA, s. r. o., introduces a new product—pipes KG2000 Polypropylene SN16.

This is an expansion of the KG2000 product line, which until now was only available with SN10 ring stiffness. It now achieves SN 16. KG2000 Polypropylene is a modern, advanced sewer pipe system a fittings, designed primarily for exposed locations and for construction sewer system in demanding conditions. KG 2000 Polypropylene sewer pipes and fittings feature a smooth, homogeneous wall with high ring stiffness, making them ideal for installation underground in areas with higher peak pressures, such as under highway pavements, at extreme burial depths, or in areas with high groundwater levels.

The original KG2000 product line has been offered with SN10 circular stiffness to date. Circular stiffness (as defined by the ČSN EN ISO 9969 standard) expresses the resistance of flexible pipes to deformation caused, for example, by internal vacuum or external loads. What does this mean? A pipe with lower ring stiffness is expected to be much more susceptible to deformation; increasing the ring stiffness significantly reduces this susceptibility. The new KG2000 Polypropylene SN16 product line is therefore ideal for applications where high demands are placed on piping. The pipe features a smooth surface with non-stick properties. The inner surface has antistatic properties and is abrasion-resistant.

Thanks to the patented triple seal, installing the piping system is simple and safe.

Technical Specifications:

● The pipes are manufactured in sizes ranging from DN/OD 110 to DN/OD 500.

● The available lengths are 1,000, 3,000, and 6,000 mm.

● A wide range of fittings in accordance with DIN EN 14758-1 is designed for both SN 10 and SN 16.

● The ring stiffness of the pipes is greater than 16 kN/m².

● Modified propylene gives pipes and fittings stable properties at temperatures ranging from –20 to 90 °C.

● This product line is also recommended as high-quality protection for high-voltage cables up to 380 kV.

The new product line thus expands the range and application possibilities of a modern, advanced system that excels in mechanical durability under demanding conditions, high strength, toughness, and low surface roughness (the lower the surface roughness, the higher the flow rate). Given the versatile applications of the pipes and fittings, the system also excels in chemical resistance (from acidic wastewater with a pH of 2 to alkaline water with a pH of 12) and temperature resistance (up to 90 °C).
